Christine Tischaefer Retires After 20 Years of Service
North Star Community Credit Union is proud to announce the upcoming retirement of Christine (Chris) Tischaefer on August 14, 2026, following 20 years of dedicated service to the credit union and its members.
Chris and her husband, Rick, moved to North Dakota from Wisconsin in August 2001 when Rick retired from the military. After living in North Dakota for 5 years, they both returned to work, this time pursuing roles they truly enjoyed. Chris began working as a Member Service Representative at Northern Tier Federal Credit Union in Butte on August 14, 2006, prior to the merge with NSCCU in 2017. Since then, she has been the ever-present smile that has welcomed and assisted members at the Butte Branch.
Not only is Chris a valued member of the North Star team, but she is also an active volunteer in Butte. From the Butte Fire Department to the Butte American Legion Auxiliary and community events, Chris can always be counted on to lend a hand and can often be found giving back to her community.
Reflecting on her time with the credit union, Chris shared, “This has been the best part time job I’ve ever had. I love my job and love working with all the members. I truly will miss it.”
In her retirement, Chris is looking forward to more traveling and fishing while continuing to work as clerk for Dogden Township and as secretary at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
North Star Community Credit Union thanks Chris Tischaefer for her years of service, dedication, and impact on the credit union and the community. While she will be greatly missed, we wish her the very best in this next chapter of life.
To celebrate Chris’s incredible career and wish her well in retirement, NSCCU invites the community, friends, and colleagues to an Open House on Friday, August 14 at God’s Country Bar and Grill on Main Street in Butte from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
