Dondi Sobolik Retires After 14 Years at NSCCU

North Star Community Credit Union is proud to announce the upcoming retirement of Dondi Sobolik at the end of 2024, following 14 years of dedicated service to the credit union and its members.

Dondi began his career at NSCCU in 2010 as a Member Service Representative, a role he held for eight years, before transitioning to Financial Services Officer for the next six years. Throughout his career, Dondi has been a valued team member, known for his commitment to helping members achieve their financial goals and his involvement in the community, including volunteering with the Pierce County Fair and the Prairie Village Museum.

Reflecting on his time at NSCCU, Dondi shared, “Serving our members and building relationships with coworkers and the community has been incredibly rewarding. I am grateful for the opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives.”

During his tenure, Dondi witnessed and contributed to the growth of NSCCU as it expanded, bringing enhanced products, services, and technologies to members. He also highlighted his favorite part of the job—helping members achieve financial goals and the camaraderie with coworkers, including the occasional office pranks.

Serving our members and knowing it has a positive impact on their lives has been the most rewarding aspect of my career. I’ve also cherished the friendships and relationships built over the years. Hopefully, it has been as rewarding for our members as it has been for me.

To celebrate Dondi’s incredible career and wish him well in retirement, NSCCU invites the community, friends, and colleagues to a Holiday Open House at the Rugby Branch on Tuesday, December 17th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
